Theale Village Hall Available Again!

The re-opening of Theale Village Hall,  following an extensive refurbishment thanks to grants from local authorities and donors, took place on Monday 5^th May.  Tessa Munt MP formally opened to Hall with a ribbon cutting ceremony., after which villagers enjoyed a delicious community meal in the new surroundings of the Hall.  An afternoon of Maypole Dancing with a talented (?) group of locals followed, accompanied by folk music courtesy of Split Level and folk friends.

The new Hall is such an improvement over the “old” 1980’s version which, together with a modern well equipped kitchen, is now available to book for your events, receptions, keep fit exercise classes, etc.  And it’s still only £10 per hour to hire!

Theale Village Hall refurb!

Congrats to TVH committee for completing first stage of improving the Village hall – completely refurbished kitchen! Come along to Village Hall AGM on 3rd Sep at 7:30 and join the team to continue the improvements!

After extensive planning and organisational work by our building group committee members, we’re pleased to say that at last, we will be getting under way with the hall renovation project. We started with the roof on 12th February and following on from that renovation of the barn. These have been completed now. A rolling, phased program of works throughout the rest of the building will be undertaken as new grant funding becomes available. We plan to renovate the kitchen and rear areas first, followed by the floor and main hall interior probably in early 2025 – funding dependent.

Before we get underway, we would very much like to share our ideas and plans with everyone, and to give you all an opportunity to share your thoughts and questions about the project.

Please note that whilst the renovations are underway inside the Hall during July & august 2024, you need to check the calendar for bookings as the Hall may not be in use. We’ll liaise with all our current bookings to discuss alternatives. Thank you for your patience!
